Chapter 14

Bruce and I sat at the counter sitting on the stools eating our breakfast. After finishing eating Bruce took our plates and washed them. I got up and headed into the bathroom. I turned on the hot water for the bathtub then I took off the white silk robe and I got in and laid back in the tub. I started to remember my past of when I first met the Joker.

~ in Arkham Asylum ~

"Do your friends call you Harley?" The joker asked while he's in a straight jacket

"No I don't really have any friends" I said brushing a piece of my blonde hair behind my ear

"What do you have in your lap" he asked

"I brought you a kitty" I said smiling putting the kitty on the table

"How thoughtful of you" he said then start to smile

Then I started to remember when I had Lily. Ivy was there supporting me through it though even Batman.

~ a couple of  weeks before my due date ~

I was sitting on the stairs on the fire escape looking at the city.

"Harley" I hear behind me which was a deep voice. I look to see batman standing there

"What do you want b-man" I said I know he couldn't see my pregnancy belly cause I knew what he was going to ask me next

"Why aren't you with the joker causing any crime" he asked

I stood up and faced him. I saw a shocked look on his face. "He got me pregnant and I want to do the best for this child by protecting it from him" I said

"Well I wanted to see what you were up to since you weren't with the joker and haven't caused any crime and now I know why" he said

"I just want the best for my child" I said

"Then why don't you stay away from him and raise the child yourself" he said

"You know what your right but joker always finds me and I'm pretty sure if I stay away from him longer that he'll come and find me" I said

"Then go back to belle reve" he said as he sits in front of me

"He'll just break me out. I want to try but I can never have a normal life" I said and tears came down my eyes

He came up to me and wiped those tears from my face. I looked up at him "when will you have this baby" he asked

"In a couple of weeks. Why?" I asked looking at him confused

"Harley........You can have a normal life. You just have to face the punishment for the crimes you did. I'll deal with the Joker but............when's the joker's next business meeting" he asked still holding my face

"In a couple of months. Again. Why?" I asked still looking at him confused

"Cause I can take you in that day it happens" he said "then you can face time in belle reve and then your normal life will come true" he add as well

"I don't know" I said starting to look down

"Harls" he said

I look back at him and stared into his blue eyes that I saw. I knew I've seen those eyes before but I can't remember who they belonged to. That moment I kissed batman. I started to feel fireworks like the time I slept with Bruce. Maybe Bruce is batman. Who knows but it made me forget about my puddin and the whole world around me. I pulled away as batman looked at me. Then I felt something. I put one hand on my stomach.
