This one was requested by the one and only CELESTICFORCE! Hope you like it! :) Sorry it's so dark, and sorry if it doesn't flow well, especially towards the end.

Warning, dear Reader-chans... Dark story ahead. Please don't read if you think it'll negatively affect you in any way. ~ <3

You walked slowly out of the Medic bay, holding a stained scalpel in your trembling hand. Your wrist bled steadily, the skin shredded from where you carelessly removed your Respawn chip.

Where you were going, you wouldn't need it. This was a different battle entirely.

You passed the door to the rec room, and paused to lean across the frame. This room held so many memories, both happy and upsetting. You watched your wrist drip blood to the floor, and tried not to cry.

"Hi, I'm Scout! Rainbows make me cry!" You finished your imitation with a dramatic flourish, causing the room to laugh. You grinned triumphantly, turning to Spy to see his reaction. He snorted dismissively and went back to his book, causing your smile to drop too.

Turning from the rec room with a sigh, you continue down the hall. The pain both in your wrist and your heart smarted sharply, making you wince. Sobbing, you leaned against the doorway to a familiar smoking-room to catch your breath.

"Spy, I brought you dinner," you said quietly, knocking on the door. If he noticed that you were uncharacteristically wearing long sleeves, then he didn't comment on it.
"Mercì," he replied curtly, and shooed you from his room. Still with the pie, mashed potato and glass of wine on the tray in your hands, you lowered your eyes to the floor and held back tears.

You raised your eyes from the floor and righted yourself, continuing to your destination. The final, most permanent destination.

The room was stained. The curtains were weather-stained, the pillows were tear stained, and the atmosphere was emotionally stained. You felt dirty, a blight on an otherwise clean world.

You took from the desk a length of rope. Towards the tip it was worn, from being tied into a noose and then untied, tied and then untied. But this time, you told yourself as you stood atop the wobbling chair, your mind was fully made; this time you were certain he wouldn't notice your absence.

3...

You tightened the noose.

2...

You heard your heartbeat thrumming for the final time in your chest.

1...

You took a step off the chair.

0...

You fell into his arms.

What you didn't see was that it was a snort of laughter, not dismissal.

You didn't realise he shooed you away because he was too nervous to talk to you.

You didn't realise he loved you.

But you did realise he saved you.
