McKenna's POV:

It was time to give Harry a chance. After all the crap I've been through with him and his brother, I was hoping that maybe this would be a clean slate. Everything would just fall into place and be whole again. I hated the fact that I had to put Marcel through this again. Luckily there weren't more of these Style brothers or I would be doomed.

I smiled back at Harry and we began talking. It felt good just to have a normal conversation with him. No pressure to say and do the right thing. Harry obviously liked me for some reason greater than I knew, otherwise he still wouldn't be chasing after me for all this time. He would have given up. A part of me couldn't help but trust him.

Just before lunch was over Harry offered to walk me to class, a nice gesture. As I stood up from the table I couldn't help but steer my eyes over to where Marcel was sitting. He was smiling and there was another girl sitting with him. I was glad Marcel made a new friend, but something felt wrong. I tried to brush the thought aside and my stomach did a flip as Harry grabbed my hand interlocking our fingers.

Marcel's POV

I couldn't believe all the fun I was having with Margie the last couple of days. We really seemed to hit it off. I didn't want it to seem like I was rebounding, but McKenna and I were never together, so it didn't seem so wrong. I finally found someone I could just be me with, without feeling the need to impress her. Margie just understood the life I was living, because she was in the same situation. I didn't know two people could be so similar. That night I was sitting on the couch down stairs waiting for Margie to come when I heard the doorbell ring. I stood up, but before I could answer the door Harry came rushing down the stairs all dressed up. "What are you doing?" I asked as he grabbed the door handle.

"McKenna's here"

"No Margie is here."

"Well let's see" Harry said as he opened the door. Margie stood there, her eyes widening as she peered back and forth at us.

"That is so weird" she said as I took her hand and led her over to the couch. Harry sighed and sat down on the staircase waiting for the door to ring once again.

As we sat down on the couch Margie pulled out her homework and we began studying for our calc test. "Are you really doing homework on a Friday night?" Harry asked.

"Yes, we have a big test on Monday" I told him a little annoyed that he was still in hearing distance. Finally the doorbell rang and Harry answered it. I couldn't help but look at the door as McKenna walked through. She was wearing a navy blue polka dot dress with flats. Her hair was done just right and her makeup perfectly applied. I still couldn't help but feel a little depressed at the sight of McKenna and Harry. But, I had to let her go. I had a great girl right in front of me that deserved a real chance.

"You still like her, don't you?" Margie whispered catching me off guard. I snapped back to her and her eyes were filled with disappointment.

"No, it's just..."

"I understand. Sometimes it's hard to get over a crush, but I really would like to try to help you" she offered. I couldn't put her in this position, I need to make it clear that I wasn't ready to move on yet. Maybe in a couple weeks or even a month, but it was just too soon. Only a few days had gone by since McKenna and Harry made their relationship public.

After Margie and I finished studying for the night, we decided to watch a movie. I let her pick the movie and she decided on a chick-flick. I was not opposed to them, especially if it was a good one. But, Pride and Prejudice was an exception, it wasn't really a chick flick, but some might consider it to be. More along the lines of a romantic movie. However, it was one of my favorites, especially the book itself. Half way into the movie Margie scooted closer to me resting her head on my shoulders. I got a bolt of courage and wrapped my arm around her as we finished the rest of the movie.

By the time we finished, it was already midnight and Harry was still not back. I wondered what they were doing, but I need to stop thinking about it.

Harry's POV

McKenna looked absolutely stunning in her dress, it was perfect for the evening festivities. Not too over the top, but appropriate for dinner and a walk in the park. I couldn't help but feel overly nervous for our date, I felt like everything needed to be absolutely perfect because this was the last chance she was going to give me. I knew McKenna wasn't one for over the top fancy restaurants, so I picked a vintage type restaurant that was located in a house that was turned into a restaurant. It was small yet a romantic setting that had character. We were seated upstairs where a few other couples were sharing a meal over good conversation or at least what we could hear of it.

After dinner we took a walk to the park across the way and spotted a small bridge crossing over a pond. The moon was full and it seemed like there were a million stars out. A rare occasion for where we lived.

"This was perfect" McKenna said as she lightly squeezed my hand.

We found a spot to lay down in the grass and we just watched the stars and talked the night away. We didn't even realize how late it was by the time we finally started to get tired.

Harry drove me home and we ended with a perfect goodnight kiss. We definitely had chemistry.

That night I laid in bed thinking about Harry until I finally dozed off.
