Much time had past until Leon and Maria stood face to face. However, Maria had sent a message to Leon saying that she was coming home.
It had been quite awhile, the two had both changed.
Leon was instructed to meet maria by the forest where they confessed their feelings to each other.
The ground was glistening from the rain of previous night. Leon walked through from the road that divided the woods into the forest. The soggy levels squished under his boots.
He looked around to see Maria.
Off in the clearing she stood. Leon smiled and approached her.
She how she had changed and how beautiful she had become made him feel a love for her he never felt before.
The moment he was in her sight, Maria ran to Leon and the two embraced.
The sun around them glowed like Heaven's light, a warm and loving glow that made the dark cold forest seem bright.
They felt happy just knowing each other. A warmth was between them that they shared with each other. Leon looked up as the sun broke through the light grey clouds and shinned down on them.
They both new that the bond of struggle was unbreakable and that though they were not in love, their lives would be connected forever.
