Chapter Two: The Awkward Conversation

Kathelin's POV

When a classic music played right on time, I thought it would be the perfect chance to escape the moment

"Hey," as I stand up before him "would you care to dance?"

"Huh? um..." He replied dubiously checking his surrounding for onlookers

"Don't worry, only just this once... I swear I won't step on your feet..." I pleaded offering my hand for him to take

"Ok..." Said it with a sigh as he took my hand then stand up with a smile

When I took him to the dance floor, I noticed that some girls at the corner beside a grown plant got furious when they saw me dancing with Aevaden, but I just averted my eyes and there I saw my friends who are also dancing with their partners which they gave me a weird look. I doubt that it's because of the guys since they have some histories with them as well.

"Hey," said Aevaden quietly while looking down at me "what's wrong?" asked dubiously

"Ah, nothing?" replied as to eye contact then averted

"Kathelin?" looked curious

After few moments, the music suddenly stopped and made us all surprised to hear a man's voice as we spun to his direction.

"Welcome new comers!!" he barked "My name's Zielle Trent, the caretaker of this dormitory... And I welcome you all to have such amazing experiences in your stay here at the academy... And as you live under my wing, you must follow some rules, is that understood...?" and all nodded in reply "Good, now if anyone wish to see me, I'll be in my office... It's at the right corner of the hall across the study room..." As he was about to leave "See you youngsters around..." then he barked once more, causing us to flinch by surprise "And make sure you're all in bed by midnight!!"

Just as he left, the music was back on and others continued dancing like nothing had happened, but before I knew it, a ginger haired sky blue eyes guy named Mark Salvoya actually noticed me and he even told the others about it, but Dale only glanced at us then faced his friends refusing their requests, I think.

By the time I descried some girls coming this way looking fiercely, I thought that they're going to start a scandal, but luckily, Mark confronted us first which made the girls ceased with a tsk as to walk away while Mark smirked at it, like he was enjoying the situation.

When he and the other three guys went near us, Aevaden firstly reacted

"Mark!" as we both stopped dancing to face them

"Hey, Aevaden... how are you doing?" said it with a smile. He was wearing a zipped up black jacket and dark blue jeans.

"Doing great!" Aevaden replied gladly

"Yo, bro!" said the other three

Then they were greeting each other gleefully with fist bumps/pumps, and high fives, until the brunette haired hazel eyes guy named Jerson Zari somehow noticed my friends dancing with their partners, but they just averted their eyes from him

"What's their problem?" he said it curiously as he sweat dropped. He was wearing a gray shirt and black pants.

When we went to a corner to avoid getting in the way of those who are having their time dancing, Mark finally turned to me

"You better be careful when you're with this guy, because some girls are really hard to shake..." Said it with a chuckle

"I doubt it..." I replied with an uneaseness
