Chapter 22•

I take a deep breathe in and I smile.

"My family I'm home!" I yell at the top of my lungs. I grin when I hear fast footsteps coming from the woods and footsteps running down stairs.

I turn to my left just as... Peshal and Sarah tackle me to the ground. Thankfully they don't transform to hug me butt naked. They just stay in wolf form and lick me all over. I catch Peshal stop and step back, growling.

"Jude!" I look towards the house and watch Layla and Aiden running to me. I get up and open my arms for them to jump into.

"Welcome back!" Aiden greets. "Aye you cut your hair."

"We missed you!" Layla yells in my ear.

"I missed you kiddos. Yeah I did" I tighten my hug and then I let go. "Where's your dad and mom?" I ask them.

"Office." Aiden points.

"I'm going to go say hi."

"Kay and take a bath! You stink!" Layla comments while scrunching up her face. I smirk and walk towards the house.

I walk through the house and nothing changed. I actually stayed in Paris for a whole month. It was mostly because of all success we had with the line.

I get to the alpha's office so I knock. I hear a come in so I open the door.

"Hey!" I greet with a grin on my face.

Wayne looks up as well as the luna. They don't look very happy to see me.

The luna smiles, "welcome back Jude."

The door slams open behind me and I sense right away who it is.

"Can you tell me why you smell like human death?" Peshal growls.

I smirk and turn my head towards her. "Now now Peshal, relax."

"Alpha?" She gestures my way.

"Would you like to explain or shall I?" Wayne asks.

I shrug. "Long story short I made a witch cast a spell for me to be able to reject Cedric without both of us dying. And the price I had to pay for that was the need for human flesh."

"Uh..." she gives me a wtf face. "So what, you went and started killing people?"

"Not my fault. Needed to keep Ren sated. And animal meat wasn't cutting it."

"You never called Jude." Wayne cuts in.

"I got busy."

"How many people did you kill for your wolf?" He asks.

56, "I lost count. Not many though. I took care of it too so we won't have any cops or the elders knocking at our door."

"Not many my ass. You smell like you've killed a few dozen."

"I'll take a shower and use perfume. That'll take care of the smell. I'm also dropping out of school for now. I'm going to focus on training-" i look at Peshal and her frown turns into a smile. "-and my modeling job. I don't know if you've seen the ads but-"

"Are you kidding! They're everywhere Jude! I'm so proud of your success." The luna smiles and I thank her.

"Because of the success I'm 'famous' now so I'll be doing a lot of important jobs. They won't interfere with training or the pack, I'll make sure of that."

"We're proud of you Jude." The Luna says and the alpha nods in agreement.

"Thank you. I'm jet lagged so I'm going to crash but I'll wake up by the time it's dinner."

They nod so I leave.

Ahh that was fun. What isn't fun is this ache my whole body is experiencing at this moment. In the beginning I would faint because of the pain. It wasn't just bad but it got dangerous. I was driving with Anna in the car when Cedric decided to have sex. If it wasn't for Anna we would have been dead. She stopped the car and got me back to the hotel all while I was passed out and with a fever.

Anna cast a numbing spell on me so now all I'll feel is an ache, ache and numbness.

My phone rings and when I check it it's Anna. The same Anna that just dropped me off.

"What's up?"

"Heyyyy you down to do the meet-and-greet this weekend? Since we had to postpone it, we shouldn't keep your fans waiting."

"Isn't it illegal to use your phone while driving?" I ask.

"Oh please, Bluetooth. Heard of it? So can you!?"

"Yeah just give me the date and time."

"Yay! Alright see you soon. You don't have any jobs till next week so relax and enjoy your vaca."

"Thanks. We're still down for movie night right?"

"Of course! See you soon. By love!" She hangs up. We made it a routine to have movie nights on Friday's. After watching all of the Underworld and Resident Evil movies we moved on to Blade and Twilight. If you haven't noticed already, Anna is a fan of bad vampire and werewolf films. I do like the Resident Evil  films though.

I wake up hungry and feeling good. Just like every other day.

I take a shower, brush my teeth, and dress in my white Calvin Klein sweatpants and white shirt.

I run down the stairs and into the kitchen where everyone is talking and food is being made.

"Good morning." I grin as I enter. A bunch of 'mornings' are said. "I'm starving!" I take a seat and fill my plate with pancakes, bacon, sausages, and scrambled eggs.

"Don't eat so much, we're training soon." Peshal says after my third plate.

"Don't worry. Besides we won't train for long."

She narrows her eyes. "Why do you say that?"

"Because, training is a sparing for us. If I'm up against you, I'll drop you in a two minutes." I tell her nonchalantly. I decided to keep training in Paris. When I found out we were going to stay there longer I started to train. Found a gym and trained there.

"What?" She growls. She could never deal with someone else being stronger than her.

Everyone seems to stay silent and watch. Anthony looks amused. The only ones really still eating is me and Layla.

"Hey!" She grabs my plate. "I'm talking to you."

"That wasn't nice."

"Like I give a shit. You think you can-" I get up and grab her then I swing her down onto the table. I lock her arms behind her back with her face against the table.

"I know that the things you say are your way of looking out for us but let's get one thing straight. Sometimes you go a little overboard and you seem to think no one else is above you. What do you say today we don't train and you take it as a time to think over a few things. Yeah?" I let her go. She growls and glares at me once she's standing.

"Jude." Wayne says my name. "Tomorrow I'll need you to come with me to Cedric's pack for a meeting." I feel a dull throb at the mention of his name.

"Why me?" I ask Wayne.

"No one else can go."

"Alright. What time?" I run my hand through my short hair. Not as satisfying anymore.

"Three o'clock." I nod.

I'm hungry

I fed you two days ago. Stand down and be patient. I'll feed you tomorrow.

My wolf stays quiet. With a smile I head upstairs to meditate. It's become a routine and because of that I got stronger and my control over my wolf got insanely better. Let's just say things are going great for me.
