Dan was as awkward as you could get. He was surprised that he'd even got the courage to tell her she was pretty.
She was pretty. Very pretty. He wasn't sure if he'd seen anyone as beautiful in his life.
He hadn't stopped thinking about her since they met. He didn't even know that much about her. Her name was Tessa. That's all he knew.
He was desperate to know more about her. Maybe she thought he was an idiot for telling her what he did.
"I'm really awkward with this stuff and I know I'm gonna make a mess of this, but I think you're really pretty."
In his experience, people tended to laugh at awkwardness. Maybe she did too. He didn't know though.
Phil pulled him away from her. He said he'd found PJ and they were all going to his house. Why couldn't they have left Dan there?
She probably wouldn't have wanted to talk to him anyway. She'd think he was a loser. It's probably for the best.
She seems way out of his league anyway. She's gorgeous. She'd never like a guy like him.
