Chapter 18 | I'm Sorry... {SEASON FINALE}

I... actually cried while typing this... maybe I'm just a big baby (ू˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ ू) ...Enjoy.

{ Frisk's POV }

     I didn't stop running until I made it to mom and dad's cottage. I figured if anyone could help Chara, it was Asriel. They were a mixed being once. However, Chara apperantly has no recollection of it.
     Hesitant to talk about what's been happening at our house, I pounded my fist on the entrance. I grew restless from the shuffling feet coming towards the door, and the struggle using keys to open it. Eventually, Asgore answered.
     "Frisk? It's great to see you. How have you been?" I studied his emotion before answering. I don't want to mess this up.
     "I've been great. I was feeling a little bored, so I came to see you guys..." I smiled awkwardly, hoping I'd fooled him.
     "Sounds good to me! I'll put on some tea." He pulled me inside and closed the door. I gave him a small hug before watching him whistle as he walked into the kitchen.

Perfect. One down, one to go.

     I have to let mom know I'm here or things will just get weird if she finds me. I checked the living room, hoping she was reading, snuggled up in the comfy chair that was just her size. Sadly, she was not there.
    "Uh.. Dad? Where's mom?" He poked his head out from the kitchen.
     "She's either in her bedroom, or with Asriel."
     "Thanks."
     "Oh! Let Toriel know that some butterscotch-cinnamon pie would taste great with this tea!"
     "Okay." I made my way down the right hallway, glancing at the basement that wasn't blocked off anymore. First, I entered my old room. It looked exactly the same as I remember. Nobody was here though.
Perhaps the room under renovation was finished for Asriel to use.
     Wanting to see Toriel first, I entered her room next. She was sitting at her desk, writing in her diary, probably more puns of the same variety she always writes them in.
     "Hey mom!" I said cheerfully, hoping she wouldn't suspect anything.
     "Frisk! It's great to see you." She stood up and came over to hug me. After what felt like an eternity, she let go and rubbed my head. "What brings you here my child? Oh! don't worry! I'm glad you came to visit."
     "I just wanted to visit my family. It's been a while... where's Asriel..?"
     "In his room." She answered smiling.
     "Great! Oh! By the way, Asgore wants the usual..." she chuckled as a haze of pink rose to her cheeks.
     "He really does love that pie..." she sighed happily before walking me out of her room. "Join us later with Asriel won't you?"
     "Wouldn't miss it for the world." I waited until she was no longer visible, then rushed to Asriel's bedroom. I didn't bother waiting, I swung to the door open and shut it as soon as I got inside.
     "Frisk...? What's up?" Asriel asked, looking up from a book. It had an assortment of flowers on the cover.
"We need to talk..."

{ San's POV }

I swiftly dodged Chara's attack and shot a row of bones at her. She responded immediately and flipped right over them. Her eyes were full of determination. Unfortunately, it was. being waisted on trying to kill me.

Does she truly want this reset? Or is this just a way for her to run from her problems?

I saved my thoughts for later when she ran at me in full speed and swung her blade near my neck. I jumped backwards just in time and fired one of my gaster blasters at her. She dived to the side, dodging the beam.
I could tell she was tired, I am too. But she doesn't give up that easily. I would know.
Chara slowly rose from the floor and faced me, panting aggressively. She held her weapon out with both hands, and split it in two. Quickly, the daggers grew immensely.
"Do you REALLY think you'll win?"
Everything around me began to glitch out. Soon... I was in Judgment Hall. Then it faded to black. As soon as it came back, Chara was right above me, ready to slash my skull open. I teleported to the other side of the room. That was close.
"Heh... maybe I think I can." Chara laughed maniacally.
"We'll see how this ends then!"
