The next morning, I made sure to wake up earlier than I originally planned on getting up. Before last night, I had no plans for today, except to go to the lacrosse game, but now, I'm hiding behind a tree in the woods, just like last night.

This time is different than last night. Cop cars are parked in various spots in front of Derek's house. After Scott and Stiles' discovery last night, I knew that they wouldn't wait until late in the day to call the cops, they would call in the morning before Derek could stop them. I arrived just in time to see Sheriff Stilinski handcuff Derek on his front porch.

I'm not the only one hiding out in these woods, hiding from the cops. I easily spotted the blue jeep not too far from my own hiding spot when I first arrived.

I turn my attention back to Derek, being ushered to the police car. Truth be told, I'm honestly not quite sure what I'm really doing here. My curiosity just gets the best of me sometimes and I find myself sneaking around to find the truth. I want to know what Scott and Stiles have against Derek. For some reason, I want to know more about Derek.

Derek keeps his signature brooding expression on his face as Sheriff Stilinski forces him to his police car. His eyes search the woods in front of him, like he knows I'm out here watching. Maybe I should let him see that I'm out here? Or should I just stay hidden? Sheriff Stilinski opens the back door to his car. Derek's eyes flick up to where I'm partially hidden by a tree and smirks for a quick second, before climbing into the back of the police car.

"Stiles!" Scott whisper shouts from where he is leaning against the keep.

I lean forward, searching for my buzzed cut friend. Stiles sneaks past all of police officers and slides into the front seat of his dad's car. My eyes widen as I watch him and Derek interact. What are they talking about? I want nothing more than to sneak over there and here everything that they are saying. I glance back over to where Scott is and slowly start to back away.

"Clara Argent, right?"

I smile back at Sheriff Stilinski, warmly. "Yes, sir."

"What can I help you with?" Sheriff Stilinski leans up against the counter.

I grab my notebook from my bag. "I'm doing this project in my English class about a job I may be interested in one day. I picked being a Sheriff because you make it look quite interesting." I compliment him. "I was just wondering if I could get a tour of this place to help write my essay on what it's like to be the Sheriff."

Just like I predicted, Mr. Stilinski smiles, happy to hear that I picked a job related to him. "So, you want to be like me one day?"

"I've considered it." I fake smile.

Mr. Stilinski rubs the back of his neck, just like Stiles does at times. "I can give you a quick tour."

"Really? Thank you so much, Mr. Stilinski." I smile, appreciatively.

"Just give me a second." Mr. Stilinski walks into a back room.

I wait until he is out of sight, before checking the text messages on my phone. I texted Stiles, checking to what his plans were before the game tonight. I told him that I was just bored and, thankfully, Stiles said he was hanging with Scott. I didn't need either one of them coming anywhere near the sheriff's department. If one of them show up, my whole English project scheme will fail. I came up with this plan just for one thing; to talk to Derek. I feel like I'm missing a huge part of whatever is going on in this town. I need to know.

"Alright, we have fifteen minutes until I have to leave for the game tonight." Mr. Stilinski returns, ushering me down a hallway and through a door, deeper into the building.
