Rouge's POV~
I walked up a flight of steps and then turned right.
There it was, Apartment 2B.
I tugged at my shirt as I tried to make myself presentable.
You haven't seen him in a month, better look good.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
How is he going to react?
Will he still think I'm pretty?
I rang the doorbell as I fiddled with my car keys trying to erase the fact that I had butterflies in my stomach.
Then, the door opened.
"Shadow!" I exclaimed as I wrapped my arms around him, "I missed you so much!"
He chuckled as I felt his strong arms wrap around my waist, "I missed you too, pretty lady."
I looked up at him and smiled, "I can't believe you have your own place now!"
"Yeah," he said as he broke our embrace, "Would you like the grand tour?"
I giggled, "I'd love to!"
He took my hand as he lead me through his home.

"And now we're back to the living room," he presented once the tour ceased.
"Oh, Shadow I love it!" I said as I looked into his crimson eyes, "It's so nice!"
"I'm glad you like it," Shadow replied as the corners of his mouth curved up.
"Uh, why don't we sit down? Would you like anything to drink?"
We sat on his black leather couch as I answered, "I'm alright, but thank you though."
"Well," he began, "How's college? Come on Rouge, you have to tell me everything."
I smiled as leaned back. "I've enjoyed it for the most part! All the studying is tiresome but it's been worth it."
"And your new friends?"
"They're great! Not as great as everyone here, though," I answered.
He chuckled, "I'm glad things have been going well."
"How's your job?"
"It pays well, and I enjoy it."
I smiled at him until another question popped into my head.
"Have you talked to Vector?"
"Yeah, we hang out every now and then, he's doing a lot better now."
"That's good," I said.
We sat quietly for a moment as we both collected our thoughts.
Then, Shadow spoke up.
"So, uh, your new friends..."
"Mmhm? What about them?"
"Are any of those friends your, um..."
I knew where he was going.
"I haven't dated anyone, Shad," I said as I scooted closer to him, "Have you?"
"Absolutely not," He answered as he put his arm around me, "I wouldn't dream of it."
I couldn't help but smile.
"So, how long are you going to be in town?" Shadow asked.
"I'll have to leave Sunday afternoon," I answered.
He nodded. "Where are you going to stay?"
I thought about it. "I guess I'll just spend the night at my parents' house."
"Well," Shadow began, "You're more than welcome to stay the night with me."
Say yes.
You'd love to.
"I don't want to intrude."
Yes you do.
"You wouldn't be Rouge. You're more than welcome here any time."
"Then," I paused, "I'd love to stay the night."
He smiled, "Perfect."
You know, you are an adult.
That means, you can do whatever you want. You don't have to answer to anyone.
"Hey, do you want to go out for dinner?"
"I thought you'd never ask, Shad."
