Shadow's POV
"Oh shit!" Vector laughed as he leaned back on my couch. I had just finished telling him about work. "Looks like you screwed the pooch!"
"No shit, asswipe. So, do you have some quality advice this time?"
"Just run away. You know, elope and shit."
"She's trying to earn a degree."
"Do it anyway."
I ran my fingers through my quills and growled, "This is bullshit, it's not like I can help that I'm a fucking hedgehog."
"Shadow don't worry about it," Vector reassured me as he crossed his arms,
"I know you like Rouge, and if you really care as much as I know you do, you're not gonna let some prick get in your way."
I nodded.
"And besides," Vector continued, if all else fails just get her pregnant, then her dad won't be able to get rid of you."
"Vector."
"Yeah man?"
"What the actual hell? Are you stupid?"
He laughed, "Something like that, burnt up all my IQ points chilling with my homegirl Mary Jane! Speaking of Mary Jane..."
"Vector, you're not smoking anything in my apartment."
"Well if you ask me, I think a puff or two would do you good."
"I'm not asking."
He cackled some more, "Alright, alright."
I grabbed the remote and started changing channels.
"When are you gonna see her again?"
"Not sure," I answered, "As soon as I can I guess."
Vector looked at me. "Have you met her college friends?"
"Yeah."
"And?"
I glanced over at him, "And what?"
"Are her friends hot?"
I chuckled. "Why, do you want me to talk you up?"
"Hell yeah!" Vector exclaimed, "We'll have a double date."
"I'll think about it."
He laughed a little bit, "Do you have any competition?"
I stopped changing channels, "What? I don't think so."
"Oh, so she doesn't have any friends that have a crush on her?"
"Yeah, but I'm not worried."
"What's their species?"
I paused. "Why does it matter?"
"It doesn't," Vector answered, "I was just wondering."
"He's a bat."
I sat there as fear started to fill my thoughts.
"As long as her dad doesn't know you should be fine."
"Yeah," I mumbled, "I should be fine."
