Frozen Heart

#A4Day10: Frozen Sun 

I was carrying

a tremendous burden.

The cries of my people

was like a weight

on my shoulders.

Their pain, sorrow, and grief

makes my nights sleepless.

I've granted their wishes

and commanded for their deaths.

I am the nation's Sun,

A beacon hope

and dreams.

Yet I feel so helpless

and alone.

It gets cold and lonely

on the throne.

The pain was

unbearable.

My heart started

to feel numb,

Thinking that power

could help me reach the top.

I couldn't hear anymore

the pleas of my people.

But instead, I could see

my hands stained with blood.

Everything changed,

since you came along.

You came so gently,

and waited patiently.

The path was not easy.

You saw me in my strength,

and even in my weakness.

Yet you never gave up on me.
