Dream

Exhausted,
The pull,
Pulling my eyes shut,
The windows of the light which filter in,

Yet the drowning of the sea,
Is uplifted by the safety net,
The one floater i can hold on to,
While my muscles weaken,

I feel myself drained of energy,
Tired,
So tired,

Just let go...

If i let go u dont have to hold on to this weight,

I can float,

I will be free,

Free to sleep for all eternity,
Then i remember,

Why,
Why is it so important to hold on?
The weight,
The safety net keeping me on shore,
Is the one connection to the real world,

The world where everyone is blessed and loved,
Where the beauty and possibility of happiness can become,

Yet the holding on,
As hard as it seems will keep me in this fantasy,

I can believe,
Believe in something greater than a person who i love deeply,
Into believing in a dream,
A dream of who i can be.
