She wanted to be like him...detached.
Detached from feelings,
Detached from sentiment,
Detached from emotions.

He saw, but never reacted
He saw, but never spoke

To her, people were open books.
Eyes were the windows through which she saw people's souls.
But his eyes were glass. Emotionless,solid spheres.

They reflected, never absorbed.
His soul was hence detached from everything that the eyes pried on

And that is what she wanted to be
A detached soul
