Temporary Solace

29 4 2

Weary eyed
Days begone
The heart's tired
Being all alone

What to do?
What to say?
Silently confused
Of late

Aching inside
Begging for recovery
Loses hope
The heart's heavy

Awkward glances
Apologies sent
No chances
Of forgiveness met

Yet another dawn arises
Yet another moonlit night
Days go by unnoticed
Promises unkept

All until that once.

All until that once
One word, he mumbled
Past the long months
The iron-heart had stumbled

Her hope replenished
Her smile returned
With temporary solace
She proceeded

The glint of light in a sea of darkness is what leads her on.

A/n :- Hey everyone. Sorry about not publishing a lot. It's just that I'm caught up with work and rarely find time to update. I missed writing and with some motivation from harithakeerthana, I finally wrote something. Hope you enjoyed it.
