She

Gazing far out to nowhere
My mind drifts into thoughts
Thoughts infinite, but aware
Of all the feelings it cost

But for once, I decide
To leave the pain far behind
Yes, the scars still reside
Though I am no more reliant

All this time, it was about me
The pains, the deceit and the falls
Forgetting all around me
The reason I still stand tall

He took away my world
Said it was protection
She showed me the world
Said it was exploration

He broke my heart
Never was he afraid
She stayed along
Never was I betrayed

He heard my stories
Hopes, he avowed her
She heard my stories
Her actions spoke louder

He knew of my loneliness
Never responded
She knew of my sadness
Never ignored

He had happiness but was in desperation
He needed love, he falsely claimed
She was sadness, but was celebration
She never left me, she truly proclaimed

The pain clouded my eyes
Too long, too much
The untruth and lies
Shadowed goodness such

All this time, it was about me
All along I watched him, my bad
Realisation strikes quite lately
All her love I've always had.

A/n:- This is a late women's day dedication to all the beautiful women I've had the good fortune to meet. Those she's and her's I've used are all those women who've supported me always. Thanks a lot and I love you all.
