Come Back To Me

Absence makes love grow fonder,
I walk alone, gazing yonder
Realising my mistakes, the blunder
I did to lose my only wonder

You know I am broken,
Words not spoken,
Wounds, the token
Of the heart you awoken

I miss you like the rain misses the land
The sun misses the moon,
The sea misses the sand

No apologies seem to bring you back
No lies seem to get you off my mind
It hurts every time I see you
And it's worse every time you see me

You know it
You always have known
Yet you stay away....
Why, I don't know

I am sorry for the mistakes I never did
I am sorry for the rights I claimed
I am sorry for what I do not know
Just please come back

Come back to me, my summer rain
Come back to me, my subtle breeze
Come back to me, my love in vain
Come back to me, return please.

A/n:- Hi again. Like you may have realized, this one, too, is about the friend I lost. No amount of apologies seem to bring him back. It's quite a difficult phase for me. Amidst all that, there were questions by readers asking if this person was a friend or a lover. Clarifying that, he's a friend. In the poetic sense, I just used lover to mean someone I care a lot for. Hope that's clear.
