She was hurt too much
Her hopes set too high
She dreamt of bliss
Lived in misery

None saw those shattered eyes
None saw the scarred skin
None saw those drops of tears
None saw the broken heart

All they saw ever was
Her fake smile,cheeks hurting
Her bountiful laughs, chest aching
Her ingenuity, mind racing.

But none,
Not those who called themselves hers
Not those she considered hers
None saw
That she had a crossed a point
From where return was unsure
Oblivion. Hopelessness.
