Thestrals and unicorns and nifflers, oh my!

Hufflepuffs love animals! They especially love to visit them... so you can pet them for an hour, and someone else can spend an hour walking them.
(Hufflepuffs are hardworking, but aren't always big fans of responsibility.)
We especially like exotic animals, so Care of Magical Creatures is usually a lot of fun. (Except for flobberworms)
Hufflepuffs also support giving more rights to beings/beasts such as merpeople, goblins, and house elves.
Hufflepuffs also often underestimate the danger of magical creatures and believe that all have souls/feelings. This can lead to injury of both body and feelings. (Probably not as bad as Hagrid, though)
That being said, Hufflepuffs often do not like animals when they interfere with sleep, food, etc.
Non-vegetarian Hufflepuffs prefer not to think about where their meat comes from.
