someone shoots you in the shoulder.
So maybe its not the best time for this realization, but it doesn't make it any less true!
Now you are trying to assess the damage to your shoulder.
There is so goddamn much commotion around you.
You know they really get the blurry action scenes in movies spot on!!
Okay you shoulder isn't THAT bad so you get up ready to fight back against the enemy.
Just as you do this you are thrown over a broad shoulder.
You hear Steve grumble how his best friend is gonna give him a black eye over this.
You see Bucky, the newfound love of your life, wasn't allowed to come on this mission because the last time he went on a mission with you he never let you fought or let anyone touch you.
Super sweet but also super annoying!!
Now he was gonna go ape-shit crazy!!!!!
You fell asleep to that thought to the lulling steps of the human dorito.

When you woke up you were aware of two things: a really REALLY annoying beeping noise, and a light but reassuring pressure on your left hand.
When you were able to open your eyes you saw Bucky, your idiotic but sweet crush, sleeping in the chair next to your bed.
Your brain was screaming: THIS IS RIGHT OUT OF A WATTPAD BOOK JUST DATE HIM ALREADY!!

A small small graced your lips and you squeezed his hand lightly...
it was like you flipped a switch...
protective and worried Bucky was now hovering over you.
He was asking if you were okay and if you needed anything. How you should never do that to him again and how scared he was, how he didn't wanna lose you EVER. How he couldn't handle losing you.
Finally you couldn't take it anymore and reached forward grabbed his fave and kissed him.
To say he was surprised was an understatement but he snapped into it and kissed back quickly.
When you pulled away you said " I couldn't lose you either, your stuck with me Barnes."
To which he replied with "I wouldn't have it any other way!"
You then kissed until Sam came in and started making fun of you guys.
Thats when Protective Bucky came back!!
