"I rocked that audition" Maddie says to me. "They loved me. There's no doubt that I'll get to play Cinderella. Although Cinderella was orginally a blonde, I can be the first brunette Cinderella!"
"Yeah, cool" I say unenthusiastically.
"What part do you think you're going to get?" Maddie asks.
"None" I say.
"What do you mean none. Did your audition not go well?"
"I don't know. Mr. Mills was just frowning at me the whole time"
"Dahling, that's what judges do all the time. They want to see whether you can stand the pressure. Its apart of showbiz."
Maddie says.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yes. Anyway, Kenz I'm sure you did great." Maddie says reassuringly, "Sometimes it's good to try something new. To open yourself up a little."
"Thanks Mads" I say.
I take out my phone and send a text to Nicole.
Hey, Nicole. I've changed my mind, do you still want to go shopping? x
Immediately I get an answer.
Yes! You will not regret this hon. Will tomorrow be OK?
I type a reply.
Yes!! Tomorrow's great. After school?
Sure! Till then x
I smile to myself. I'm actually looking forward to the party.
