A Jenzie Story: She's the One

Ch. 25 - Mackenzie

"Hey," Johnny says as he meets me at my locker. "Look, I'm sorry about yesterday with the science project and all that."

"Don't worry. Its fine." I say.

"No its not." Johnny says. "I'm gonna make it up to you. You and me. Today. After school. We'll do whatever you want."

I smile. "I want to go to your house and meet your family."

"OK" Johnny says, "We'll go."

After school ends, me and Johnny walk to his house as it is very near. When we reach the house, we enter and go to the kitchen. There's a blonde haired girl sitting at the counter.

"Oh, you're back." the blonde haired girl says to Johnny.

"Hi I'm Maddie" she says to me.

"Mackenzie" I say.

"Kenzie has a sister called Maddie too." Johnny tells her.

"No way!" Maddie says.

Just then, another blonde haired girl walks in.

"Is that Darian or Lauren?" I ask Johnny quietly.

"Neither. That's Maddie's friend." He says. "Darian's not here. And I have no clue where Lauren is."

"JOHN! DID YOU TAKE MY CHARGER!" Someone shouts from upstairs.

A girl comes marching into the room.

"John! Did you take my charger!" She says to Johnny not paying me any attention.

"No. I didn't Lauren." Johnny says.

"Well then. Where is it?" Lauren says impatiently.

"Why you asking me?" Johnny says annoyed.

"This is Lauren, Mackenzie" Maddie tells me, trying to ease the tension.

Lauren finally notices me.

"You're Mackenzie?" Lauren asks me.

"Yep. That's me. Nice to meet you!" I say happily.

Lauren scowls at me.

"She's not the Mackenzie you're thinking of! This is Mackenzie Ziegler." Johnny says quickly.

"Oh. Thats OK then" Lauren says relieved.

She smiles at me.

"So, you're Johnny's girlfriend?"

"Yes." I say.

"Cool."

Just then, the doorbell rings.

"Oh!" says Lauren, jumping up. "That must be Hayden. I'll get it."

Lauren comes back in after, followed by Nadia.

"Nadia..What are you doing here?" Johnny asks her.
