AKASH

A visit to her parents was supposed to cheer her up but this time she had come with a mission. She knew that she was in love with jay so she had decided to break her engagement to Akash as it would not be fair to him if she married him.

Akash was coming home to dinner in the evening so her mother had prepared her favourite dishes. At dinner Cia was quiet and when the went for a walk she spoke with akash.

Akash I know this will come as a shock to you but I believe that we should not remain engaged. I don't love you and for marriage there should be love between us. Also I am enjoying my work. My creations have been appreciated by the company so I plan to work longer than a year. I am sorry but I am not ready to get married yet."

"Cia don't be reckless. We have known each other since childhood and we may not be in love passionately but I do love you. I cannot imagine my life without you. As far as your career is concerned I will never stop you. You can open a boutique here and work from home."

" Akash you are not trying to understand I will marry only for love ."

" Don't be silly, our parents had arranged marriages. Are they not happy? Forget all this nonsense we will talk later."

Cia informed her parents also of her decision. But they simply thought that she was stressed at work and would come back to her senses sooner or later.

She celebrates Diwali half heartedly and goes back to Gurgaon the next day.

Ever since Cia was back she was avoiding Jay continuously. He was feeling bad because he had asked her to dinner so many times but she would refuse. She was also losing a lot of weight and Jay was worried.

Next week she received a phone call from her mom stating that her dad is seriously ill. Jay offers to take her home but she refuses.

When Cia reached home it was to find that her father had suffered a heart attack but was out of danger now.

However her father was very weak so Cia decided to stay and help him recover.

Jay called Cia regularly to check on her father but it seemed as if Cia was deliberately delaying her comeback . Jay missed her terribly. He missed her laughter, the way her eyes sparkled when she was happy. He missed seeing her sitting on the porch drinking her morning tea. He even missed her in his office. So, after fifteen days he decided to give her a surprise visit.

However he was the one surprised to find Cia kissing another man.
