It was Thursday & tomorrow was the day of the pep rally, & I was driving home from school. I wanted to hang out with Duke today but he was off with the guys like always.
I park in my driveway & enter my house, surprisingly no one was home.
I run up to my room & changer into a some shirts and a tee.
I plop down on my bed to take a nap, today really worn me out.

••• "Maddie, ...Maddie." I heard.
My eyes fluttered opened and my mom appeared.
"Wake up honey dinner is ready, we're having spaghetti & meatballs." she said.
"I'll be right down." I said.
I checked to see if I got any texts, specifically from Duke,which I didn't.
I sighed and slipped on a cardigan as I made my way down stairs for dinner.
My mom, dad & Jacob's parents sat on one side while Jacob and I sat on the other side. Apparently he wasn't here yet.
"I sure hope Jacob gets here soon." his mom said as we begin setting out the food.
As soon as we were about to eat there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it." I said standing up and heading to the door.
Of course it was Jacob.
"Well look who it is." I said as I crossed my arms.
"Hello to you too then." he smirked as he shut the door.
"Missed me?" He said hugging me from behind.
I instantly broke out of his reach.
"Not even a little." I said bluntly.
"Oh sure you didn't. " he grinned.
We both headed to the kitchen.
"There he is." my mother smiled.
"Come sit & join us for dinner Jacob." his father said.
