Shadows

The wild, ever-growing, dark and evil shadows

They try to take away the small flickering light of hope

that struggles to burn within, in this howling wind

I see light twinkling around the corners

it plays with me

I run behind them and they hide

They cast shadows more powerful than before

I see dark figures of hopelessness and disappointment

darker specs against dark background

Where is everyone?

I am suffocating in this sphere of nothingness

My futile efforts to run from them

make me more breathless and worthless

Where should I go? Where should I hide?

Out of this darkness, I feel a hand

I don't know why, but it clutches my hand tight

That feel of hand somehow stops me from running

and I don't feel the need to run

I am not alone

The small fading, flickering, struggling light in my chest glows stronger

soon it burst out in flames

Every shadow coming for me, vanish, disappear

and the world is new and bright again.

P.S. - "Hope should never be denied, we don't know what miracle it can bring to someone's life"

I have added this to sad poems though it's not really a sad poem. This is to show that someone out there, cares. You don't have to know them, you don't have to meet them, but trust me, they do....... I do! Don't be afraid of the shadows. There's no hiding from them. Only way out is to be the light which won't let them exist.
