**| Sang's POV |**

I stare at the memo I'm typing up on my computer, my eyesight going blurry from exhaustion. Mr. Corsan wants the memo sent out on Monday describing the changes our company will be going through the next few months with the new project management team coming in and the security being put into place.

Writing it now will allow me to tweak it tomorrow after meeting with the new project manager and his team. Then I can finish it up by the afternoon and have Mr. Corsan approve it and it'll be ready come Monday morning.

Everyone in the office already went home so it's just me here, the main lights off and only my desk lamp on to provide the light I need to keep working. My stomach rumbles with hunger but I ignore it as I do a final read through, making sure everything is as it should be. Typos in memos are embarrassing and it needs to be perfect. Maybe I'll have Arlene look it over tomorrow after I complete it to make sure there aren't any mistakes.

And now my mind is going in circles, around and around.

I let out a long breath and lean back. Maybe I'll just go home and get some sleep.

"Why are you still here?" a voice says and I straighten up suddenly, nearly tipping over my chair. "Whoa, careful there, Cupcake."

I send Luke a glare as I settle back down, ignoring the pounding of my heart from his sudden appearance. He managed to sneak up on me. Not many could do that. I'm always aware of those around me, able to feel the shift in the air.

I frown as I see him and Victor standing in front of my desk now, both wearing a similar expression of concern.

"Why are you still here?" I ask, looking at the clock. It was well past dinner time, probably even past bedtime for those who were still sane.

"Just some last minute details," Victor says.

"And waiting to escort a pretty lady out of the building," Luke said, leaning over the desk and flashing me a huge smile.

I frown. "Did Lindsey stay late again? Because she isn't cleared for overtime this week."

They blink at me, confused for a moment, before breaking out into laughter.

"You don't even realize it, do you?" Victor whispers.

"Realize what?" I'm confused now.

He shook his head. "Nothing. Come on, we'll bring you to your car."

"You don't have to," I say.

"But we will," Luke says and walks around my desk. He grabs my chair and rolls it away from my desk with me still sitting in it. Then he holds out his hand as if he were a noble ready to escort a lady. I stare at the hand for a moment before reaching out, ignoring the emotions rumbling in my stomach at his gentle touch.

He pulls me to my feet and hooks my arm through his as he walks us to the elevator. Victor is already there, pushing the elevator to bring it up to our floor.

"How was your first day?" I ask as the elevator descends down to the first floor.

"We have a lot of plans to go over with you tomorrow or maybe on Monday," Victor says. "A lot of it is basic security with the key cards to open doors and whatnot. The most consuming will be the security on the all the computers and the program to watch for anything going in and out of the company that shouldn't."

"Yeah," Luke pats Victor's back. "He's a tech genius so you're in good hands with him." He grins as the door opens and we go out into the parking lot.
