Onyx: Heathens & Heroes

Preface:

I'm back, my fellow friends. This story is almost done in Microsoft so I will be uploading every week on Wednesday nights following editing. I apologize for my absence in the past few years as I have been distracted with college and whatnot, but I'm back with this and will be creating more stories as time goes on, even continuing with this series. All I ask, just make sure to vote to get this out there and please, leave your opinion on the chapters as well! I appreciate feedback far more than you understand! Elizabeth Mahone was far from what one might call normal. She had a fiery temper, passed down to her from her mother; a quick wit and a smart mouth, also from her mother; an instinct that was supreme to that of any normal person's; and a major advantage in martial arts and weaponry. All of that comes into play when she leaves dim and dreary Star City (circa 2015) to live in Central City—a city that was alive with cheery people, criminals that carried a flamethrower and a cold gun that needed their asses kicked, and a ton of regular people with extraordinary powers—leading them to make choices that weren't always right.

After a woman comes by S.T.A.R labs asking Team Flash for help finding her criminal older brother, Liz is accidentally thrust into a war waging on Star City's front that started with the kidnapping of one of the most well-known criminals of Central City and the only one who knows the real identity of the Flash—Leonard Snart. Following the rescue, Liz begins to put two and two together, eventually realizing that someone who knows her too well is behind all of it...including the near death experiences that she's encountered since then.

With that being said, her life is difficult enough without adding in the fact that someone has set a bounty on her head or the fact that she's beginning to fall for a criminal who had a rough past and runs around freezing people to death with his fancy cold gun while robbing banks and museums. She teams up with the former billionaire Oliver Queen (the vigilante of Star City—The Green Arrow) and his friends Speedy, Dig, Felicity, and the Black Canary; two criminals that go by the names of Heatwave and Captain Cold (Mick Rory and Leonard Snart, respectively); and her own team consisting of Barry Allen, Cisco Ramon, and Caitlyn Snow to fight a unknown speedster and his cohorts that are threatening them and everyone they love.
