"Am I the only girl that melts when a guy says 'come here' like it's so simple and innocent yet so demanding and possessive." || "So how are things going over there? I miss you, Lena," Bryn sighs sadly, I pick at my nails and stare at my phone that is sitting on my bed.
"Things are..... alright. I miss you too, I just want to come back home. It was much better there, I had you and my family. No one bullies me here though, I guess that's a positive right?" I murmur just loud enough so she can hear.
"Awe, Lee.... Zachariah is not a fan of you staying with Malakai," she says, I roll my eyes. What a coincidence, he most likely knew the things my mate does but he didn't try and stop me from coming here? Maybe I should have a little more faith, but I just don't want to be here anymore.
"Look, I'm gonna go and talk to dad- Bye," I hang up and press onto my dads contact. He answers straight away, I hear shuffling and people talking on the other line.
"Lena!" He exclaims happily. "How's everything going sweetheart?" He asks with enthusiasm.
"Dad.... I want to come come, to visit," I quickly add. "So could you call up Malakai demanding that I come home for a visit? You're the king after all," I whisper. He stays silent for a moment, probably confused with my behaviour.
"Oh honey, why don't you ask him? He's your mate," dad replied. If only he knew.... I would be home, Malakai wouldn't be alive and everything would be okay. Why did we have to hold that ball? Then why did I get paired with Malakai Reed of all people.
"He will probably say no. Please dad," I plead. "For me? Your only daughter. I'll call mum!" I sing, he grumbles words of distaste under his breath and sighs. He always caves to mum.
"Fine. See you later, I love you," after replying I hang up with the biggest smile on my face. I'm going to be able to see my family! I switch off my lamp and climb into bed, it's night time already. It's been a week since I've even talked to my family, I haven't been able to. And now is the perfect opportunity to see them, Malakai can't say no to my dad.... can he? || "Lena!" My door slams open and crashes into the wall rather loudly. I jolt awake, staring and blinking at the door to help my eyes focus. Malakai stands there, big and tall. "Get up, we have to go to your old home to visit your family," I sigh in relief, dad didn't mention anything. I look outside and frown.
"But it's like one in the morning," I croak out, he shrugs and switches on the lights. I cover my face with the blankets and groan loudly.
"Do you want to see them or not?" At this statement I throw the blankets off me and get changed. I grab my phone and run out of the room, I see Malakai and Timothy at the car. Tim opens the door for me, I slide in and buckle my seatbelt. Another person gets in the drivers seat and Malakai gets in the passenger seat, Timothy sits in the back with me. Then we are off and in our way, everyone stays awake but me.
