Zak's P.O.V

After being let out of the hospital I've kept my promise. I've been eating regular, although it's

Still only small plates, and I've been getting more sleep. The nightmares that used to plague me

When Nova was away weren't as bad anymore, which I was thankful for.

'Morning,' I greeted everyone as I walked into the kitchen.

'Dada!' My baby boy giggled as I sat in the empty chair next to him.

'Nova, I thought we said not to let him feed himself in the morning.' I groaned as I took in my

Baby's food covered face, hair and well basically everything.

'Sorry sweetness, I took my eyes off him for a second and well he looked like he was having fun

So I didn't really want to spoil his fun.' He grinned sheepishly.

I sighed and smiled as I helped myself to the food that was set out on the table. I was a bit

disappointed that there was no pancakes but I'll live.

I ate my two rashers of bacon and a hash brown before I felt full. 'Thank you for the food Amanda.'

I said politely.

She never made eye contact with me, or acknowledged my words or me for that matter. I'm not

Going to lie, it hurt. I swallowed back the tears, stood, washed my plate and left, taking Kasper

With me.

Nova's P.O.V

I can't believe my mother had just done that. How dare she. She knew how much Zak loved her

And he didn't need another mother to abandon and hate him.

'Why are you doing that?' I growled at her once I was sure Zak was out of ear shot.

'Doing what?' She acted ignorant.

'Amanda, you know exactly what.' Father sighed and shook his head. 'He's finally on track and

Getting better, your behaviour isn't helping. You know full well how much that boy thinks of you.

You've shown him the love and care that he never received from his own mother, don't take that

Away from him. It'll do more damage than you realise.' He got up and left, Nathan following him.

'I don't know why you're acting like this, but if you want to continue, I don't want you anywhere

Near Zak or Kasper. I'm not risking him him falling ill again just because your being silly.' I

Snarled before leaving myself.

I walked into my room and found Zak giving Kasper a bath. Well trying to at least. Our boy was

now nine months old and to say that he was a handful would be an understatement.

'Dada, pway!' He giggled as he splashed around in the water.

'Need some help?' I said, startling Zak a little, 'Sorry.'

'Its okay. Can you finish up, I need to go somewhere.' He told me as he stood. His little voice

sounded small and unsure. I was a little worried.

'Sure. Where you off too?' I asked.

'I just need to go see Micky. I'll be back in an hour.' He didn't make eye contact with me as he left.
