(Zane's POV)

"Zane get up" Garroth shook my arm while groggily rubbing his eyes.

"No go away" I groaned, digging deeper into my bed.

Garroth ripped the blankets of my body exposing it to the chill air.

"Garroth" I shot up snatching the blankets away from and covering my face.

Garroth sighed in a annoyance. "They're just freckles Zane seriously"

"Get out" I yelled, muffled by the feather stuffed cover.

"Alright whatever" Garroth threw his hands up in surrender, walking out of my room.

I closed the door letting the blankets drop from my sun kissed face. They're so ugly, I grazed my fingers over the random spots, before slipping on a mask and getting dressed.

I jumped out of the grey mini van tugging at my bags straps.

"Hey Zane" Aphmau waved, approaching me.

"Hi Aphmau"

"So are you going to sit with Kawaii~chan today" She wiggled her eyebrows in a suggestive way, giggling after.

My mask grew hot, spotted cheeks blooming rose red.

"No" I muttered, walking towards the bleachers of the football stadium.

"Okay" Aphmau shouted, waving me off. I sighed turning the corner.

"Well if it isn't maskboy" Gene mocked, smirking to his followers.

"It's Zane" I growled.

"Is that right" Sasha teased, twirling her hair.

"Am I in?" I asked disregarding her sly comment.

"Of course" Gene began then pointed at Sasha.

"Not" she said dismissively.

The bell rang signaling first hour started.

The 'shadow knights' walked away laughing.

"Why do I even try?" I asked myself, slumping against the wall.

"I'll never be accepted..." I pulled my mask down, wiping the tears off my cheeks, eyes closed to keep anymore tears from escaping.

A pair of arm wrapped around my waist squeezing me tightly.

I hugged back not caring to see who it was.

"Its okay" said a small voice.

I nodded, wiping my eyes again.

I stood up straight, opening my eyes.
Worried Kawaii~chan stood in front of me, ears and tail were down. She looked more serious then her usual care free self.

"Here Zane~sempai" she held out a cupcake, pink icings with black skull sprinkled on top.

I smiled, taking the cupcake and sitting down. Completely forgetting about my mask I happily munched on my cupcake, Kawaii~chan sat next to me looking pleased with herself.

After I finished I licked my finger tips, gazing out at the ground.

"Thanks Kc" I whispered.

"No problem maskboy" She hugged my side ears lifting slightly.

I smiled.
