So a couple of days ago I finished the new ToA book, The Dark Prophecy. And man, was it awesome.
For one, I absolutely adored Leo and Calypso. Which is SO strange for me to say. I've made it pretty clear in here before that I don't exactly care for Leo, and I've never liked Calypso before. But this book completely changed my mind. I went in expecting to hate every moment with them, but I ended up adoring them by the end of the first chapter. Leo's back to being his hilarious self (just like in The Lost Hero). And Calypso, my girl... she was awesome. She was funny, brave, and even sweet at some parts?? Unfortunately she didn't get that much attention, which made me sad, but I absolutely loved every part with her in it. I STILL DON'T SHIP THEM THOUGH!!

Lester was also great. As always.
It was super cool to see Britomartis make an appearance. LIKE SERIOUSLY I SQUEALED. Britomartis was one of my favorite goddesses when I was younger! One of my OCs in my fanfic for PJO (which I'm currently rewriting) is even a daughter of her. I never imagined she'd make an appearance in canon, but she was in TDP. Which was AWESOME.
But all this pales in comparison to my two favorite parts... THE HUNTERS MADE AN APPEARANCE... AND GROVER IS BACK!

I absolutely love Thals, so it was great to see her and the hunters again, especially because that gave leeway to references to Zoe, Annabeth, Jason, and Piper. And also, that famous "Apollo is hot" quote from TTC came back to bite Thalia. And it was hilarious.
AND GROVER IS GONNA BE IN THE NEXT BOOK. HOLY EKJ:WEG:HOEIGHWOEHWEGOWHE I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SEE HIM SINCE THE LAST OLYMPIAN OML I'M SO EXCITED
Anyway it was really good!!! AND DIVERSE TOO LIKE BLESS RICK FOR INTRODUCING A LESBIAN COUPLE!! BLESS RICK IN GENERAL HONESTLY
(The only part I didn't like was Meg, oops. I've never liked her :I)
