For the second day in a row, the boys played hookie. Connor was slumped against the bathroom wall and Evan was clinging onto him. They just sat in silence, trying to forget the suicide attempt that morning. It was around noon when Evan felt a buzz in his pocket. The caller ID showed Mom.
"Oh shit..." Connor whispered "What are you going to tell her?" Evan picked up the phone with shaky hands.
"M-mom hey." Evan's mom said something and Evan nodded.
"Change the subject," Connor mouthed. Evan nodded.
"Mom. I have a boyfriend." Evan was shaking and Connor smiled and rubbed his hand. Then, Evan's mom yelled so loud, Connor could hear every word.
"COME HOME RIGHT NOW!"
