Cry Baby- The Neighbourhood

"I can taste it, my heart's breakin, please don't say."

---

Jake pulls me towards him as he attaches his hands on my hips slowly. He brings me flat against him as I feel him strain against his jeans. "Do you feel that?" He moans out as he brings my hips back and forth creating friction." If only your clothes weren't on." He whispers into my ear while his lips travel down to my neck, down my collarbone.

"Jake." I whimper. He kisses my cheek, then the corner of my mouth. He pulls back completely, his eyes looking at my mouth. "Kiss me," I beg. My eyes were close in preparation.

"Dawn."

"Just kiss me."

"Dawn!"

I open my eyes and see my mom staring back at me. "You were mumbling in your sleep." She tells me. Her cheeks were red, so I can only assume she heard me ask someone to kiss me. "Who's Jake?"

"No one!" I screech in embarrassment.

"Okay, whatever you say." She rolls her eyes at me. "I just came in to say that breakfast is ready." She shuts the door and heads down the steps.

It's been like this since Friday night. I keep having the same dream and each time getting a little closer to his lips. I just didn't know what was going on in my fucked up head. Jake Dennings was attractive, and he was being sweet to me two days ago to me, or as sweet as he can be for himself. I was enjoying myself with him. Of course, nothing is erased on what he did the previous days, but I couldn't deny the attraction. I just wanted one kiss. One stupid kiss and the faze would be done and over with him.

It's just a faze.

My Mom's usually off on weekends. Dad's on a business trip; he's not coming back until next weekend. "Hey, do you mind getting groceries?"

Groceries? She doesn't even cook." What do we even need?" I ask her as I take a bite out of an egos waffle that she put in the toaster.

"We always need groceries. We need milk, cheese, lettuce, lunch meat-"

"Okay, I get it."

She smiles weirdly happily. "I'll make you a list. And while you're at it, you should get some lunch with Lauren." She starts getting a pad of notebook paper.

"Why are you forcing me to leave the house for so long."

"You need fresh air, Dawn." She put her hands on her hips in annoyance, "I'm surprised people don't mistake you as a vampire. Just get out for a while. You can even take my car."

"Alright." I groan.

After I finish my breakfast, I get dressed in some simple sweats because I'm just going to the grocery store. I throw on a messy bun up and head downstairs. "Here you go." My mom hands the list to me. She also gives me her credit card.

It is the most extended list I have ever seen that she has made. It'll literally take me an hour at least to get all these items." Woah, woah, woah, why are we getting so much food."
