Chapter Three

"How did you ended up losing your daughter?" The police in charge asked Baekhyun for the nth time but the opposing one wasn't answering. He wasn't even listening to him. "Sir, if you're not gonna cooperate with us, we won't be able to help you in finding your lost daughter. I still have pile of works to do but my sergeant asked me to prioritize this case because of your husband," he continued, growing impatient of the fidgeting person in front of him. "Let me ask you again, how did you ended up losing your daughter?"

"Baekhyun hyung. . ."

Baekhyun averted his lost gaze upon hearing one familiar voice. He quickly rose from his seat and hugged the person whom he can depend with right now. "S-Sehun!" He cries. "I lost Eunji. W-we lost Eunji," he sobbed on his chest.

Sehun nodded at the officer and told him that he's the one doing the talk while the officer will write the informations Baekhyun will tell him. "Hush now," he cooed, rubbing his hand on Baekhyun's back. "What happened? Where did Chanyeol hyung went?"

The first thing Chanyeol did upon realizing the fact that his daughter has gone missing was to call his brother abruptly. Good thing Sehun was quick to answer the call and Chanyeol told him to come to the nearest police station on the area of Seoul Academy while the polices will take Baekhyun to their head quarters to report the incident happened. Chanyeol decided to come with the other polices to roam around the vicinity areas near Seoul Academy hoping that the kidnapper was still around.

"W-we lost Eunji," he started, Sehun held his hand to prevent it from shaking so bad. "W-we were having a meeting with the principal of Seoul Academy when Chanhee came in and told us that Eunji's missing. B-Baekhee said that they went away to play with their friends when a certain civilian told them to play first and he will look after Eunji," he squinted his eyes and took the bottle of water Sehun gave to him.

"Did Baekhee and Chanhee told you how does the suspect looks like?" Sehun asked, looking at the report the police is doing right now. He was rereading everything he's typing, taking care that he will put all the details Baekhyun was saying.

"T-they just said the kidnapper is a man on his late 20s. That's all," he gripped his hair in frustration. "I should've not left Eunji with them. This is all my fault!"

Sehun took a hold of Baekhyun's hands and excused themselves to the officer, taking the older one outside the head quarters to breathe some fresh air. They sat on the bench facing the bay and Baekhyun continued mumbling incoherent words under his breath. Sehun opted to stay silent while Baekhyun was still going hysteric upon losing their daughter.

"Sehun. . ." Baekhyun called.

"Hmm?" The younger one hummed, he saw how Baekhyun's eyes turned blood shot right now due to the endless crying he's doing.

"A-am I a careless father?" Baekhyun started crying again. "Am I a bad father?"

Sehun shook his head and pulled Baekhyun's head in order to lean on his broad chest. "Don't ever think of that. You're a wonderful father, Baekhyun hyung. You've raised Baekhee and Chanheeㅡ"

"ㅡif I became a good father to them, then why is this thing happening to us?"

"It's not intended, Baekhyun hyung. It didn't happened because you wanted it to happen. Do not blame yourself. We will find Eunji soon," Sehun consoled Baekhyun by saying different things that can uplift the sad soul beside him.
