"Just lay off Lucas okay? He's been nothing but cordial with you your entire life, he doesn't deserve this." Carly muttered. She sat on the counter of the Andrews' kitchen swinging her bare legs back and forth. She began to pick her nails as Nathan's eyes swept over her.

"Why do you care about what I do to him? Do you like the kid or something?" Nathan joked, turning to fully face the girl. Carly glanced sideways, eyes immediately dropping down to take in Nathan's chiseled naked chest. She looked up quickly, narrowing her eyes at the way his lips pulled into a smirk when he caught her staring.

"Maybe I do Nate. But that's none of your business." Nathan rolled his eyes and stepped towards her. He positioned himself in between Carly's bare legs. He laid his hands on her thighs and glanced up at the beautiful face in front of him, immediately catching her eyes. He frowned and cupped her cheek with one hand.

"Nice try Carls, but you're mine." Carly's eyes hardened at his words. She hated how he said them without care or meaning, but she somehow still believed every word. She couldn't let him have the upper hand.

"Yours? I'm no one's, Nathan. I'm my own person and you have no right to react like a child just because I think you should stop being such an ass to Lucas," Carly hopped off the counter and stood in front of Nathan. She turned to walk away from him when another thought graced her mind, "and on top of that I haven't been 'yours' since you started screwing Peyton."
