...

"What the hell are you thinking?" Rose screamed into the phone after leaving chemistry, still heated after everything that happened.

"I'm thinking that I'm going to kill the Kanima." Derek answered, very point and blank.

"No, you're killing Lydia, someone who is innocent." Rose argued, "I don't care what you think- it isn't her, she isn't the Kanima."

"I'm outside the school right now waiting for her." Derek told her and Rose's heart dropped. "I'm sorry, Rosie."

"You're not sorry," Rose spat into the phone and hung up.

She caught up with Scott, Allison and Stiles, who were hiding in an office.

"Derek is outside waiting for Lydia," Rose told the group of worried teenagers, who only grew more worried once they heard this news.

"Waiting to kill her?" Allison asked.

Scott sighed, looking down and trying to come up with the right way to phrase this. He knew the answer was yes, but he didn't want to be the one to give the answer. He then looked back up at them, "If he thinks she's the Kanima, then probably, especially after what happened at the pool."

"I don't think it's her." Rose spoke up shaking her head, "I know that there is something wrong with her, there has to be, but I don't think she's the Kanima."

"Rose, she didn't pass the test. Nothing happened."

"It can't be her..." Stiles sighed.

"But it doesn't matter because Derek thinks it's her. So we either convince him that he's wrong or we've got to find a way to protect her." Allison said.

"Good luck convincing him," Rose spoke doubtfully, "Once Derek has his mind set on something it's almost impossible to change it."

"God, he's such a sour wolf." Stiles exclaimed raising his hands in the air.

"A what?" Rose chimed in.

"I really don't think he's going to do anything here- not at school." Scott shook his head, ignoring Stiles and Rose.

"What about after school? What if we can prove that Derek's wrong?" Allison questioned feeling hopeful.

"By three o'clock?" Stiles asked.

"There could be something in the bestiary." Rose suggested.

"Oh you mean the 900-page book written in archaic Latin that none of us can read? Good luck with that." Stiles remarked sarcastically.

"I'm just trying to be positive." Rose growled at Stiles, she didn't appreciate he doubtful attitude especially in this situation.

"Actually, I think I know someone who might be able to translate it." Allison spoke.

"I can go talk to Derek, maybe convince him," Rose told the teenagers. She hadn't had much luck before, but she wasn't going to give up that easy.

"I'll go with you," Scott added.

"What? You don't think I can handle my brother on my own?" Rose inquired furrowing her brows and crossing her arms against her chest. She gave him a very intimating look and waited for a response. She could tell he was getting nervous by her dark stare.

"No, no not at all! It's just that-uh- well," Scott stuttered not really having an excuse other than wanting to help.

"I'm kidding, you can come with me." Rose chuckled.
