Namikaze Naoki || Uchiha Itachi

Chapter 18

Today was the day the chunin exams officially began, naoki made sure to not oversleep and woke up earlier than she expected of herself. No one was awake in the household but her, she quietly got ready and left the house to empty her mind.

Naoki was feeling kind of nervous, she thought of so many 'what ifs' like what if she messed up and ruined the change to become chunin for her whole team.. or what if she dies.. or what if she fails to protect her teammates what leads to their deaths..

She thought so much that she didn't even notice walking into the usual training grounds.. she was the only human there, the other thing there was a beautiful black crow.

Naoki locked eyes with it and expected it to fly away but it didn't. Unexpectedly it flew to her shoulder and rubbed his head onto her cheek. This action made naoki a bit more at ease, it had a familiar vibe to it.

"Little one, are you trying to cheer me up?" She asked the little birdie

The crow only replied with movements from his wings

She smiled, the quietness reminded her of a particular someone. Soon enough another crow flew by and landed in front of naoki, this crow was crowing loud and clear. It seemed to be telling the crow on naoki's shoulder to leave with him.

The crow refused and moved closer to naoki.. the one on the ground flew up and dragged the crow to the woods..

"What just happened.." she said to no one

She was confused at what just happened but that faded away by time. Now she was focused on the chunin exam again, less nervous about it but the nerves didn't go away entirely.

Team 7 all gathered in front of the academy building, and went inside together.

Sakura had been feeling off ever since Kakashi told the group they were nominated, she felt as if everything moved too fast for her, but after training she felt a bit more confident.. sakura still hesitated though

Once Inside the building.. they walk into riot in front of them... not even 1 minute passes and the exam already begun

A kid in all green was pushed to the ground by two chunins guarding the door

Naruto walked up to them with a smirk and said "can you remove the genjutsu you placed around the surroundings and let us pass? We don't have time to stay here"

"So you noticed?" One of the chunin said

"Sakura you must have noticed first" sasuke said turning to sakura

"Huh?"

"Your analytical ability and genjutsu know how is the most improved on our team" he said proudly trying to boost up her confident

And it worked, Sakura felt even more confident now and said with that confidence "of course I noticed, in fact I noticed since long ago, because this is the second floor"

The genjutsu was removed and revealed that they were on the second floor

"Not bad.. but all you did was see through" kotetsu said planning to kick sasuke, who was in front of him. Sasuke returned it but before the kicks collided, the green kid stopped both of them

"But never mind that izumo-san and kotetsu-san you shouldn't be bullying contestants.." Naoki frowned

People around her were like 'who?'
