I don't think I can do this anymore. Everything around me is just so much. The room is in full chaos with nurses and witches running to heal the injured, the injure running in and out to get patched up or continue fighting, and families and friends grieving around loved ones. I was one of those grieving people, standing around with the Weasleys for their brother. But I knew that wasn't the only thing I was grieving. I was also for Draco. He 'left me' before he was supposed to kill Dumbledore, to keep me safe from his family and you-know-who. But now I was just mad, anger surging through me as I faced the entrance doors in determination.
"You with me?" I looked to my side to see Ron wiping his eyes, the same deadly look in his eye as I have.
"Let's show them hell." I growled, noticing Hermione and Harry on my other side as we stormed back out into the middle of the fight. We separated as Ron and Hermione ran to help some people and Harry ran to fight Voldemort. I went to help some first years and shot the stun spell at a death eater. "Hell of a first year, don't you think?" I commented, and the small group smiled slightly before a shot hit the ceiling above us, making the kids run away. "To the great hall!" I told them and went in the opposite direction, tears still running down my face in anger as I thought everything evil in front of me. One death eater managed to catch me off guard and I whacked my head against the wall, but killed him before he had the chance to hurt me more. Sprinting around the corner away from his dead body, I stopped as I saw him and Harry in the court yard, as he looked up to see me.
"Ahh, Miss Kingsley, such a pleasure to see you again."
"Screw you." I spat, as he sent us an evil smile as I went to stand with Harry.
"Such a shame, I wish I didn't have to kill you. But I won't be sorry."
"Funny, me neither." Me and Harry shot the spell at him, but he was still to strong and it broke off into nothing.
"Pathetic. You can't kill me." But he suddenly stumbled and his expression soon turned to one of dread. "No..." he mumbled. "How can this be." Both me and Harry looked at each other, we knew what had happened.
"Expelliarmus!" We both yelled as Voldemort yelled "Avada Kedavra!" But we shot the wand out his hand and his spell hit him back, and we stood there as we watched his body turn to dust, and once he was really dead, I heard Harry let out the breath he was holding.
"Some school year..." I mumbled and I heard him chuckle next to me.
"We did it." He breathed as he turned to hug me. "We actual won."
"Yeah, we got our vengeance." I smiled as I helped Harry to the great hall. We passed so many dead death eaters, and my stomach did a small flip in hopes of one person not being there.
Once we arrived, everyone cheered for Harry, but he placed his hand on my shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
"I'm happy your both okay." Hermione said and hugged us before stepping back and letting Ron hug us.
"Yeah, I'm glad you two are as well."
"Yeah," Ron said and we both saw them grab to hold each other's hands. "We are."
"Congrats you two." I smiled and then hugged Ron again. "Your brother would be so proud of you right now Ronald."
"I know." He sighed and let go to go see him family again. Sighing, I sat down and let one of the nurses check over me and make sure nothing was broken or bleeding as I got lost in thought and exhaustion and after a while she told me I was okay and left to go help someone else. I sighed and was about to lie down when I noticed it turned dead silent in the room. Looking up I saw everyone was looking towards the door and as I followed there gazed, I silently gasped. Draco was standing there, dirty but unharmed, looking around the room but also looking shy. I pushed myself to stand when he caught my gaze, and relief washed over his face as soon as he saw me. He started lumping towards me, and for the first time ever neither of us cared about hiding our relationship like we had done for the last three years. We didn't care anymore that we were in a room full of everyone from the school. We were happy to see that we both made it out alive and unharmed, and all I knew was I wanted to hold him. So I started sprinting towards him, around the beds and people as he continued to limp forwards, and once I reached him I wrapped my arms around his neck so tight I thought I might me chocking him. But his arms flew round my waist just as tight and I felt him bury his head into my hair, pulling me flush to his body.
"You scared the shit put me of Ruby." I heard him whisper into my hair, and I sob laughed as tears streamed down my face.
"Says the guy we had to do what you were put through."
"And I would do it again against my will to protect the one person I love the most." He mumbled and I pulled my head back only to have his lips crash against mine is desperation and love.
"I love you so much Ruby." He whispered.
"And I love you too Draco." I smiled, as we saw Harry walk over from the corner of my eye.
"Malfoy." He said sternly, and he went to drop his arms but I kept mine where they were, loosing my hold. He gulped as Harry looked at him dead in the eye, never dropping his gaze. "I may not trust you at all, even little to nothing. But I do trust Ruby and if she believes in you, then I can accept you and learn to trust you as she does." I felt him loosen under my arms and I nodded to him, takin Draco hand and leading him to the bed I was sat on before to have someone check his leg.
"I love you." He whispered as we sat down and he kissed my neck as his head rested on my shoulder.
"And I love you too." I smiled as I kissed his dust covered blonde hair. "No matter what."
