Natalie's POV
I woke up from the time machine and looked at the time hanging beside the food maker. It read 7:00 am. I got up and searched through the pocket provided in the machinery to find my walkie talkie.
"Aha!" I said once I found it. I then called Anika. It made those weird sounds again like the ones I heard every time I pressed the button.
"What nigga." She answered a couple of minutes later.
"Why are you calling me names?" I asked, kind of hurt.
"Sorry. I'm just not in the mood." She sighed and I could tell that something's wrong so I asked her.
"What's wrong?" She sighed again.
"Nothing." She lied straight through her teeth. I could tell because I've known her for so long.
"Don't lie to me, Anika. I know you, you act just like this when something's wrong."
"It's just... this is really hard for me." She said, giving in.
"What do you mean?" I asked her confusedly.
"I mean that it's hard going to school everyday without you by my side. They're really mean and I have no one to talk to." She said with sadness and hurt laced in her voice. I busted out laughing. "What's funny?"
"Anika, it's only been a day. You miss me already?" I said once I calmed down.
"Who cares if it's only been a day. And yes I do." She replied.
"Wow... so if I stay here forever. What would happen to you?" I pondered jokingly.
"That's not possible. Plus, I won't let you." She said with a sincere voice.
"I was just playing. But anyways, I called to ask you if there's a button for showering..." I trailed off and sighed when she didn't say anything. "Well is there?" I asked hopefully. I didn't want to smell and look like I'm homeless, especially around Rihanna. "Anika? Are you still there?"
"Oh sorry. I was just getting something. What are we talking about again?" I rolled my eyes irritatedly.
"I was just asking if there's a button for showering." I repeated.
"Do you really think I'm gonna build all those stuff in just one machine, Natalie?" She asked.
"Well kind of. 'Cause I thought you were a genius." I scoffed.
"Well, I am a genius. And I did build one. It's the button with a symbol of a water droplet near the brown one. And before you use it, make sure that you close all the pockets because it will wash everything, as in everything so you must strip before using it. Everything else is water proof." She explained.
"You really are a genius." I said, still amazed.
"I know." She said. "But anyways... the teacher is here I need to go. Love you Nat and goodluck."
"Love you too." I said then she hung up.
I pressed the brown button first and ordered breakfast from it. I eat first than showering. It's my routine. After I finished eating, I made sure that everything was closed, stripped, then pressed the button with the symbol of a water droplet.
