Ryder

"Tap out! Get off me man!"I sighed looking as he got pinned down again.

"Alright that's enough!" The boy let Mason go, standing up. "Your dismissed" he nodded quickly, walking away. I sighed and then stood over him. I stuck out my hand to help him up but he shoved it away getting up by his own. "Don't be taking this out on me"

He clenched his teeth, breathing heavily and resting his hands on his knees. "How can I not? This isn't working, I'm weak without Caleb!"

"No you are not, you are better without him, you need to stop giving him so much credit"

"Well how can I not? Just maybe one time-"

"I said no and no means no!" He stepped back then his eyebrows scrunched up. He hesitated a bit, he went to say something then stopped himself. His shoulders slumped.

"Fine" he sneered. He turned on his heel, started to walk away.

"Hey where do you think your going?!" He turned walking backwards to face me.

"I need a drink!" He then turned again, disappearing into the woods.

"Sophie has a boyfriend! Sophie has a boyfriend!"

"I do not! I do not!" Sophie than began to chase Emily around the kitchen as she kept repeating herself. I giggled, sat on the counter, just enjoying the show. "Mom she's lying! She's lying!"

"No your in love with Pablo!"

"No Pablo is disgusting! Mom!" She whined and I jumped off the counter.

"Now, now, Sophie if you have a boyfriend you can tell me"

"I don't!" There were tears in her eyes.

"Emily stop lying and stay out of your sisters love life"

"But-"

"Ah ah, no buts!" Her face scrunched up and Sophie crossed her arms.

"Ha" she stuck her tongue out at her older sister and Emily stuck hers back. I rolled my eyes getting off the counter.

"Dinner will be ready soon, go and set the table girls"

"I call doing the plates!"

"No I do!" They raced off into the other room and I giggled again. I shook my head and turned my attention to the pot in front of me. After a few minutes I heard the door opening. It slammed shut and then loud footsteps. Without even looking up I knew who it was.

"How was training hunny?" He went to the fridge, opening it and looking through it. "Hey dinners almost done-" 

"I need a drink. It's killing me" I glanced up to see him already grabbing a pouch of animal blood, sinking his fangs in it and chugging it down.

"Hey slow down your gonna get a stomach-" he grabbed another pack, doing the same. My eyebrows knotted together as I walked over, pulling him away from the fridge.

"Mason Alexander Moon! Stop it this instance!" I grabbed the blood bag, trying to rip it from his grip. Instantly he looked up at me. His eyes were Caleb's. The beady red. His fangs were outgrown. My eyes widen from underneath the cloth.

Slowly I backed up. "Okay now...remember that we have to calm down.." he's turned. "Caleb" he tilted his head a bit at me, his eyes seemed to be glowing.

"Why did you turn me this way?" I looked at this other side of Mason, in confusion. "Why does he have me?"

"W-what do you mean?" Behind him, Ryder has shown up, quietly coming in with a masked scent. He glanced at Mason and back at me.

Stay still I don't want to draw attention to myself he said in my head. I didn't move.

"You lied about me...I'm different. No one else has a vampire side.Why me?!"

"Caleb I don't lie how can you say that about-"

"You are lying! You are!" The house seemed to shake. I gripped the countertop and gulped. I was scared. He never got to this point. Ever. Suddenly Ryder jumped him, locking him in a head lock. He hissed, his sharp nails scratching, trying to get out of Ryder's grip.

"Hey bring my son back!"

"He will find out the truth! We will find out the truth" his eyes shut as he fell limp in Ryder's arms. He regained his stance as he opened his eyes to their normal color. Fear had struck them, moving frantically  around.

"I-I need to go..I'm sorry"

"Mason.." he turned back and then sped out the door. "Mason!"

"Let him go. He needs to cool off" Ryder gripped me from behind, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"But-"

"Just let him go.." I leaned back into his chest, intertwining our hands together.

I sighed. "This is only gonna progress, he's done this twice this week, this one was worse and it keeps getting worse"

"We can only help that his wolf will calm him down other wise nothing will change"

I nodded and sniffled. "Tell the girls to remove a plate from the table then.."
