One day, Someday

Inside the narrow confines
of a golden cage,
stayed a bird with broken wings.
To the world outside,
it constantly stares.
Always wondering
what lies beyond
the blues and greens.

But amongst everything
it wished to do
To stray towards the horizon is
what it yearns so true

Who knows?
Maybe one day, someday
When the sky is clear
When the ocean is still
When the lock cracks broken.
When the door slips open.
With wings healed certain

It will fly as high as it could reach
Be one with the wind,
sing a duet with the waves,
touch the heaven like what it has craved.

It'll live.
It'll fly.
It'll try.

Maybe one day, someday
It will.
