Ain't a Fairytale

I ain't seeking for a fine young prince to come along
and align my twisted reality.
I prefer a simple man
who will see through my jagged reflection in the mirror
but still find it a piece of a beautiful art,
crafted strongly by the whirlwinds of life,
that behind the crooked lines visible in the reflected image
lies the perfection of my imperfections.

I yearn for a man who will appreciate my flaws no matter how ugly they may seem.
A man who will not try to fix me but will still love me the same, broken and stained.

I ain't gonna wish for a neverland or a castle or a rainbow with a flying unicorn.
I'm not a princess.
And this ain't a fairytale.

All I'm asking
is a chance to taste my own
happy ever after.
