15th day of September
A boy came to her
He wore a lopsided smile on his face
And greeted, "Hey, Ma'am. What's up?"
She was annoyed because she knew
He meant nothing good and that's true.
He was always the annoying student in the class
Always talking, always causing troubles.
He gave her headaches that last for a long time.
Seeing his face was like seeing her great nemesis.
So she feigned a smile and moved away
For it's better to ignore him than to lose her rein.

15th day of October
The same boy came to her
He wore a smile on his face but not as lopsided as the last time.
"Hello, Ma'am. Are you busy?" he asked.
She wasn't busy but because she knew
He meant nothing good and that's true.
She said yes and walked away
For the annoying student in the class
Would only make her lose her rein.

15th day of November
The boy once again came to her
He wasn't wearing a smile like the last time and there was something in his voice when he asked, "Ma'am, do you have time?"
It bothered her but not as much
For he was the annoying student in the class
Seldom talking, seldom causing troubles.
He gave her less headaches that still last for a long time.
He was her great nemesis.
Then again, she shook her head and walked away
For it's better to continue ignoring him than to lose her rein.

15th day of December
No boy came to her
No lopsided smile, no single greeting.
The boy hadn't attended class for days
And it bothered her but not as much
For he was always the annoying student in the class.
No longer talking, no longer causing troubles.
He no longer gave her headaches that last for a long time.
But still he was her great nemesis.
Every worry's casted away.

15th day of December
Another boy came to her
He wore a sad smile on his face and it bothered her
For he was the best student in the class
So she asked, "What's wrong?"
Then he told her he died--
the annoying student in the class
Who no longer talks and causes troubles.
Her great nemesis
Whom she has always ignored just so she wouldn't lose her rein.

The boy gave her a letter the annoying student in the class had written
She cried hard when she read it
For it was written to her
Along with all the things he wanted to tell.
How he longed to be heard
but until his last minute,
Paper was the only thing that listened.

15th day of December
She was filled with regrets.
For she could no longer go back in time
When the boy came to her and greeted.
She blamed herself for she didn't know
How he needed her, oh so true.
Of why she hadn't seen the signs
Why she had considered him her great nemesis.
She wished she didn't walk away
Never mind if she loses her rein.
She wished she hadn't deprived him of the only thing he ever wanted.
Now, it's too late
And crying won't ever make a difference.
