Neighbors! Sabo x Reader

The Pharmacy

    (Y/n) continued to look away in fear of Sabo or Luffy seeing. An awkward silence had settled between the three, but thankfully Ace came to save the day.

    "Idiot!" Ace shouted and gave Luffy another bruise to stack on the other one. Luffy shrieked in pain.

    "Ace! You jerk!" Luffy barked, holding the spot Ace had hit him. You glanced towards the sky and noticed dark clouds slowly approaching in the distance.

    'Dammit. I won't make it in time.' Fortunately the town wasn't too far from the neighborhood, but you wouldn't have enough time to get to the pharmacy and back. Sabo noticed your worried expression.

    "Hey. Are you ok?" Sabo asked with concern written on his features. You glanced at him then to the clouds.

    "I have to get to the pharmacy before it rains, but I won't make it in time." You said disappointed. "I don't have my car right now. It's at the shop." You told him.

    "I could give you a ride?" The blonde suggests. You looked at him in surprise.  "W-well if you want me to. I know we just met and all." Sabo shyly looks to the side.

    'Did he just stutter? He's so polite and cute!' You gush mentally. "Well if you want to, that would be awesome!" You smile. When you looked at him you coulda sworn you saw the faintest blush spread across his face.

    "Hey Ace! Luffy!" The two brothers looked to Sabo upon hearing their names. "Can you take care of moving in our stuff? I'm taking (y/n) to the pharmacy."

    "Aye! Shishishi!" Luffy grins.

"Sure!" Ace responds.

    "Do you know where the pharmacy even is?" You deadpan.

    "I do. We lived in a farther Neighborhood. We still went to the town closest to here." Sabo tells you.

    "How come I never saw you at school then?" You ask.

    "We went to a different school." He informs.

    "I see." You both approached his car and you entered the passenger side while Sabo entered the driver side. As soon as the car started the radio startled both you and Sabo.

     "What the fuck?!?" You screeched clearly startled as Sabo lowered the radio volume.

    "Dammit Ace." Sabo muttered. "I told him not to leave the radio up so loud." You were pretty sure both of your hearts were pounding from that horrifying experience. The two of you drove onto the street and as you drove away you saw Ace laughing his ass off over the car radio situation from the rear view mirror.

    'Jerk' you thought while pulling out your phone to see a text from Nami.

   Text:

    Nami: I saw you talking to the new neighbors ;)

    You rolled your eyes and put the phone into your pocket. Looking towards Sabo you asked, "do your brothers annoy you a lot?"

    "Yeah, but that's what siblings do. I'm gonna get back at them later." He shrugs.

    "You don't seem like the type to get revenge." You tell him with a raised brow.

    "Heh heh." He chuckles. "That's your opinion."

    "Thanks for driving me Sabo. I appreciate it." You place your chin on your hand to stare out the window.

    "It's no problem at all. I kinda needed to get away from them for a bit." He smiles. "It took us an hour to get to the new house."

    "That's not bad." You look at him confused.

    "They really don't get along too well. Sometimes, but not always." Sabo states.

    "Then isn't it a bad idea to leave them all alone?!?" You sweat drop.

    "Probably.... It'll be fine." He reassures nervously.

    "Will it?" You deadpan. The whole car remains silent for a minute before you hear Sabo mumble an almost inaudible no. You chuckle.

    "Let's hope they both survive when you get back." You glance at him. He seems to be tense and nervous. The rain then came down.

----------time skip 20 minutes-----------

    The car pulls into the parking lot of the pharmacy and the rain had been getting heavier by the minute. 'They were right' you thought. You both quickly exit the car and make a mad dash into the cover of the building.

    "Damn crazy weather." You murmur as you approach the counter.

    "Oi (y/n)-ya." You were greeted by Law approaching you. Law wasn't exactly always friendly towards you. Maybe on some days though. "What do you want?"

    "I came to pick up my usual meds." You tell him with a slight smile. Law looked at you, then to Sabo who was examining items on a shelf, eventually looking back to you in concern.

    "Why are you with him?" Law grumbled. You look back to Sabo to see him drop something and it break. Law growled.

    'And I thought you were the responsible one...' "Sorry Law, I'll pay for it, but he's my new neighbor and he was kind enough to drive me here." Looking back at Law, you take the bag from him and pay for both the meds and the broken item. Law hummed in approval.

    "Sorry about that. I'll pay for it" Sabo says as he approaches you.

    "Already taken care of by (y/n)-ya" Law points out.

    "You didn't have to." Sabo says shocked.

    "Well I'm a nice person." You smile. "Anything for a friend."

    "Friend?" He tilts his head.

    "Well since we're neighbors, why not be friendly neighbors. Besides you did me a favor now I'm paying back." You smile.

   "Yeah." He smiles back.

   "If your done, then get out of my store!" Law snaps. "I have to go to my other job!"

   "Okay geez." Both you and Sabo make a mad dash for the car. "I'm guessing the weather isn't going to stop for a while, huh?"

   Sabo hums. "Why is he so bossy?"

    "Well, he probably has to get to his doctoring job. He's a good person just not with the best mood sometimes." You reply. Sabo hums once more.

    You both set off for your homes and you check your phone.

    Nami: I saw you ride off with the new neighbor. Did you kiss? ;)

    (Y/n): No! Why would you think that?!

    Nami: Oh idk... I saw getting all nervous!

    (Y/n): You better not say anything!

   Nami: Maybe I wont... if you pay me $200. ;P

   'Dammit Nami' you thought and growled.

    "Are you ok? Who are you talking to?" Sabo asks mildly concerned.

    "Yeah, just talking to my friend Nami." You murmur quiet enough for him to hear.

    "Nami?" He asks.

    "She lives with me and my other friend Robin." You inform him, putting your phone away.

    "Ah. Is that who I saw peeking through the window in your house?" Sabo glances at only to sweat drop from you gaping at him. "Umm."

    "You saw and didn't say anything?" You demand still gaping. He starts to chuckle nervously. You shake your head, "its fine. Isn't too important anyways." You smile.

    "Heh. I'm glad to have a new friend." He mutters to himself smiling. You heard him and smiled as you headed back for your homes.
