SELAAM
Salam
Peace!

Since Ramadan is coming up, you will not be seeing any updates of Nazım until Eid, unfortunately. Next week's update will be the last for now in sha Allah and then I'll put it on hold till the end of Ramadan. I'll still updated A Path of Light occasionally. But my reason for doing this is because Ramadan's a month where we get close to the Quran, not some over-dramatic Wattpad book by some stranger usernamed SkyCastles.

ANYHOO, without further ramble!

Upon observing himself in the mirror he realized how tired he looked and was. His once bouncy and loose curls were becoming rather lank like his frame. His brown eyes were rather bloodshot and had these faint dark circles under them. Nazım stepped back and threw water in his face from the sink, hoping it would wake him up but it didn't.

He wiped off the water and stepped out of the restroom while suppressing a yawn. Teyze Fatma was visiting a friend, and Büyükanne was taking another one of her afternoon naps in her room. Nesrin was playing with Murat in the room she was staying in. Deniz had left with his father.

Nazım saw the time and resisted groaning at the five minutes he had left to get ready for his other job. This time he didn't bother with going, and he went to Nesrin's room without so much as a knock.

The sight put a smirk on his face. Murat had gotten his sister into a headlock, laughing while Nesrin feigned pain. Murat had seen the nineteen year old standing at the door, and so did Nesrin.

"Help me!" she laughed, unable to continue faking.

"No!" Murat shrieked as Nazım came over and pulled the boy's arms off of Nesrin's head. Nazım wrenched him off and started faking shouts of pain too as Murat landed punches that were strong to him but ticklish to Nazım.

Nazım had lost his balance and fell on the carpet with a thud. "Haha!" Murat cheered. "I win! I win!"

Then it was Nesrin's turn to pull off the six year old, and she lifted him up. "You've been awake since Fajr, aren't you tired?"

"I wanna sleep when Nazım sleeps!" Murat said with indignance.

Nesrin looked down at Nazım on the floor causing him to feel guilt inside of him. She looked back at Murat with a warm smile on her face. "But he did sleep."

"I wanna sleep when abi sleeps!" he continued to protest.

"How 'bout this," Nesrin lightly pinched his cheek. "Do you want to beat me at war?"

Murat's expression turned grave and serious, and Nazım had to hold back a laugh. "Yes!" he said firmly.

"Okay then, soldier," Nesrin pointed to the small bed across her. "The right amount of sleep makes you strong and healthy. So one day you can possibly win against me. Now go sleep!"

"Yes!" Murat saluted his sister before jumping in the bed. Sooner than they both thought he was already asleep. Nesrin smiled at the sleeping Murat before looking to Nazım and patting the spot next to her on the bed.

He sat by her and was subject to her calculating eyes. "When did you sleep?"

"I had a full sleep a few days ago." Nazım said it lightly so she wouldn't react as bad. But at this point he could barely think beyond the headaches.
