"Do you want to bury him? Or take him somewhere other than upstairs?" Leo asks. I shrug and poke at the fire.
"I dunno."
"Do you want to do like a memorial or funeral type of thing? Just us?" He continues.
"I dunno." I repeat, mindless. I set the fire poker down on the bricks and clutch the red beanie in my lap. I can't help but picture the blue one ony Benji's head.
"Do you want me to make a little head stone or something? I can carve his name into something... I did that for Grace," Leo asks another question I can't seem to answer.
"I. Don't. Know. I don't know, Leo, okay?" I throw my face into the hat in my palms. I am angry and devastated and confused. I have nothing else to say. I have no answers for Leo's attempts at comforting me. He sighs, moving closer to sit right beside me.
"Do you just want me to hold you?" He asks softly, already snaking his arms around my torso. I nod against him, letting the tears spill over without a second thought.
A/N- I just want you all to know I love Benji with all my heart.
