I shivered as I walked, the cold air getting through my thin dress. Liam noticed and took his jacket off, draping it over my shoulders. He couldn’t really walk me all the way home, but he said he wanted me to the edge of the block.

“Liam, I told you not to walk me home. You’re house is on the other side of town! You still have to walk back.”

He just kissed my cheek.

“A extra few blocks is worth it, if it’s with you.”

I rolled my eyes, but couldn’t help the blush.

“You’re so cheesy.”

“I prefer to think of it as charming.”

I laughed, Liam stopped walking, we were at the edge of my block.

“I guess you have to leave now..” he trailed off, looking at the ground.

“I guess so,” I replied, as the silence set in.

“Hey Lia, I’m sorry you’re caught in the middle of Jayden and I, you shouldn’t have to lie to your family and friends just because we don’t like each other, it really has nothing to do with-“

I cut him off, pressing a finger to his lips to shut him up.

“It’s worth it if it’s with you,” I winked, he smiled.

“Hey! That’s my line,” he laughed. I laughed along with him.

“Goodnight Amelia.”

“Night Liam.”

He leaned in to kiss me, but we were cut off by a scream.

“Amealia Rose Gilbert!”

I turned around to see a blonde guy standing on the other side of the road. Jayden.

“Shit.”
