She heard the voices of her so called friends around her, but didn't  acknowledge them. They didn't care. She turned her music up louder, leaned back and closed her eyes. He still came to her locker, she didn't know why. Part of her wanted to run into his arms when she saw him coming, but most of her felt a strong urge to run when he headed in her direction. It was like they were matching poles of a magnet now.
She sat and wondered about the lives of the students passing by her little corner where she sat curled up, knees to chest. "Have any of you ever felt the intense pain I'm feeling?" She wondered. " Have you ever loved someone so completely, and not realized that by loving them you give them the power to destroy you?" She stares straight ahead as a tear rolled down her cheek, and she shut down before another could fall. She was done.
