Karma (Avengers/Young Justice crossover)

Wally West Ending

"Home..."

I step back through the portal, looking at each of them sadly. "It worked, we are able to return home. Peter, you can go now if you want, I want to stay and say goodbye"

"I'll go find Tony and tell him we're coming back," he says, stepping through the portal.

"We'll miss you," Artemis and Megan say, hugging me.

"I will miss you too"

They pull away and Wally hugs me tightly from behind, burying his face in the crook of my neck. "Don't go"

"I have to, my family is back there"

I turn around in his arms and place my hands on his cheeks. I gently kiss his forehead and pull away. "Goodbye Wally"

"Wait, can you leave the phone here so we can contact you if we want?"

"Of course"

I try stepping through the portal again but Wally quickly moved in front of me, pulling me into a kiss. It happened so suddenly I wasn't able to react. He pulled away and pushed me gently into the portal.

"Karma! I'm so glad you're back, I never knew how hard it was to keep Tony in check until you disappeared"

I chuckle at Natasha's greeting. "You get used to it after a while"

"What's wrong? You look sad"

"I made some friends back in that universe, I didn't want to leave them but I also didn't to leave my family here"

"Well, you can still contact them, can't you? And what about the portals?"

"I left my phone in their care, but I dunno if I will be able to create the portal again"

"I'm sure Batman will be able to do something for you, in the meantime I need to go stop Tony from throwing a party. Welcome back"

She runs off and I head back to my room, laying on my bed. I closed my eyes for a second but found myself falling. When I opened my eyes I was in Wally's arms in the mountain.

"You couldn't resist me could you?" He asks.

"I didn't know I could return"

"Well, it seems that you can. Why don't you stay for a little bit?"

"Alright, but not too long, Tony and Natasha will start to worry"

He speeds us to a theatre. "Since we didn't get to watch the last movie why not watch one now?"

"That sounds great"

We managed to watch the movie without receiving any threats, but that didn't stop Wally from holding onto my hand protectively the entire time. After it was finished he lead us outside of the theatre.

"I should go now. I enjoyed finishing our date though"

"It's not finished yet," he says, pulling me closer.

"What else is there?" I ask.

"A goodnight kiss"

He leans in, carefully placing his lips against mine. He seemed eager yet he was allowing me time to pull away if I wanted. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in closer.

"I really should go now, I'll visit whenever I can," I say as I pull away.

"Bye Karma"

"Goodbye Wally"

With one last kiss I head through a portal, ending up in my room. All night I laid there, staring at the ceiling, thinking of the kiss, thinking about the boy I loved.
