--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~Aubrey~ 💕
Unorthodox pain.
Staring at my food, all I could think of was Alexi, and then the situations that I had been through.
My mum.
My sister.
My best friend.
My mate.
My life.
The shock, It presses at my temples as waves of grief pass over me. It's like a shadow shrouding itself over my vision. Agony was something I wasn't all too familiar with, but losing Alexi to the dungeons made me feel the loss of a family, her family.
The words are indescribable. It must have been some traumatic years. The scars explain it, they explain the sorrows and afflictions she faced. She had been pushed, it was the weight of the unspoken secrets that pressed her down. The fact that she hid it from me, all these years must've burdened her more.
I couldn't help but think about Alpha Caleb again. Is he still alive? And most importantly why is he siding with a group completely alien to him?
"Aubrey, are you feeling okay?" Theodore asks snapping me out of my trance.
Am I okay?
Just a few hours ago I lost my friend, right after that I had a moment with a person I am supposedly destined with, now I feel nauseated because of stinging mistakes and memories.
"We shall take rest," Theodore orders a servant before getting up and moving my direction.
I hesitantly moved my back, as it touched the cool leather. The feel sends chills down my spine, raising goosebumps. At this point, I wondered whether it was the chairs doing or Theodore's eyes wandering around.
Taking his hand out, he reaches for me. He waits a few seconds, sighing in defeat as his aim wasn't achieved. I keep my eyes affixed to the food, avoiding any type of contact with him.
A few hours ago, he made me feel things I wasn't supposed to feel. And to my surprise, I actually liked it! Moreover, my body.
"You must be tired, let's go," Theodore asks in a wary voice, nervous as to what was happening to me.
What does he know about how I feel?
"No, Sir Edgar," I say, knowing that he would have some answers. But I still await a bed like, at my place, which I can confidently call home.
Sleep sounds like a nice idea, my subconscious reminds me. Without my consent, a yawn escapes my lips as I hold my head from falling. I truly was tired.
